Kingscliff is a quiet , beachside town with a population of around 5,000. It is situated on the beautiful northern New South Wales coastline about 10 minutes south of the NSW/QLD border, It is a short 10 – 15 minute drive south from Coolangatta Airport and 25 minutes north to Surfers Paradise. In just 40 minutes you can be in renowned  Byron Bay – Australia’s most easterly point, or if you are traveling north allow 1 ½  hours to Brisbane Airport.

Kingscliff  over recent years has become a popular alternative to the Gold Coast as it can offer the same fine dining experience, without the hassle of traffic and crowds. Restaurants range from a-la-carte to café’ style with everything from Thai, Seafood. and Chinese to Katmandu, Italian or Moroccan!  You can also BBQ on the 2 km stretch of parkland along the ocean and estuary.

Kingscliff is also well positioned for you eco touring with three heritage rainforests, and Mt. Warning  only 45 minutes to the west. The Tweed River offers good fishing, boating, and skiing with  some of the most famous Australian surf beaches such as Duranbah, Cabarita, Snapper Rocks and Kirra only 10-15 minutes drive.

LOCAL CALENDAR

The northern N.S.W.  is host to several popular events  weekly , monthly and annually. Kingscliff has a farmers and friends market with fruit, plants and crafts every 2nd and 4th Saturday.

Extended shopping is available on Thursday night and weekends.

Outdoor concerts are now a regular event at nearby Salt and Casuarina as well as many international entertainers at Twin Towns in Tweed Heads.

Coolangatta’s  annual ‘Wintersun Festival in June attracts visitors from  afar to enjoy the bygone Rock'n'Roll  era.
